Sandy • The imposing 6-foot-4 center back — missing for about a month — was back in the starting XI on a chilly Saturday night at Rio Tinto Stadium. Chris Schuler, face mask and all, earned a starting spot in Leg 1 of the 2014 Western Conference semifinal against the L.A. Galaxy after missing three games due to a multiple facial fractures sustained in a collision with fellow defender Nat Borchers on Oct. 5 at Chivas USA.
